After
Trisha' surgery and during her extended recovery and physical
therapy, we have become very anxious to return to being busy with
ministry. Since the last news update, we have done just that.
While
Trisha has not yet been released by her surgeon, she has been
released from physical therapy with orders to continue at home.
This has allowed us to resume our travels.
Please
continue to pray for us as we make plans for the remainder of the
year. Already, the opportunities are plentiful.

Operation Heal Our Patriots - Crisis Chaplains
We have
been invited to provide chaplain ministry to some of the
graduates of the Samaritan;s Purse, Operation Heal Our Patriots (learn more).
In a couple of weeks, we will travel to the reunion conference
where we will have the great honor and privilege to be with
combat veteran's and their spouses for a few days of prayer,
worship, fellowship, counseling and encouraging. Not all of the
graduates (or their spouse) have yet accepted Christ. This is
another opportunity for them to hear the gospel and make a
life-saving decision.
In
addition to the Operation Heal Our Patriots reunion, we are ready
to respond to natural and man-made disasters as they occur. The
partnership with Billy Graham Evangelistic Association has given
us opportunities to personally witness to the lost and encourage
those already in Christ.

Operation Christmas Child Vision Trip
Jody
traveled with an OCC group to Trinidad-Tobago to partner with the
amazing national OCC team. Our group had the privilege of seeing
the national team in action as we participated in shoe box
distribution, observed a class of The Greatest Journey and saw
first hand the effective use of the shoe boxes for presenting the
gospel.
Operation
Christmas Child continues to influence children and families in
more than 100 countries.

Behind the
Walls Prison Ministry
We
participated in the Austin Day of Champions in February. Trisha
ministered to women offenders in the Lockhart Women's Unit in
Lockhart, TX. Jody ministered to men in the Travis State Jail near
Austin. The result of the weekend was that dozens of men and women
accepted Christ and dozens more rededicated their lives to the
Lord.
Formerly,
Bill Glass Champions for Life, this ministry is not only a light
into the lives of men, women and youth in our correctional systems.
This ministry impacts local churches by training men and women in
effectively and clearly sharing the gospel. These men and women are
then able to help ignite their home churches taking the gospel to
their communities and the world.
There are
several upcoming events throughout 2020 that we have added to our
calendar. Click here to learn how you and your
church can be part of this important ministry.

We
continue to support our partners and pastors in Nicaragua with
family and medical needs as well as helping our partner churches
with ministry needs. We are in weekly contact with our partners
down south and we are prayerfully hopeful that we can return to
visit our dear friends and our “Nica grandchildren".
Our
partners have agreed that we could safely return for a short visit
sometime after the second anniversary of 2018 trouble. If the
second anniversary passes without any escalation, we will certainly
go there and assess the situation first-hand.
We have
been blessed by the Lord’s provision to assist these families with
scholarships to Christian schools, school supplies and clothing,
medical expenses and basic needs through our Nica Aid
project. Since May of 2018, we have received more than $15,000
toward the Nica Aid project and we have spent more than $26,000.
