The Other Shoe Drops

If you read our last news letter you know that we went to Nicaragua intent on filling our 2012 calendar, buying a reliable car and securing a rented house to facilitate our increasing work in Nicaragua.  I am happy and excited to report that the Lord went before us and we were able to accomplish all of those objectives.

Now we can get around, have a place for our supplies and materials and a place to put our heads on our own pillows at night.  Of course, all of this comes with a price tag.  This is where the "other shoe drops".  But don't stop reading.   

If you have followed our ministry, you also know that very rarely do we make a direct plea for donations on our own behalf.  Sure, we've raised lots of cash for medicine, food and supplies for children, cars for Nicaraguan pastors, computers and sound systems for Nicaraguan churches, and puppets and a sound system for our children's program.  So here is the "other shoe", which is actually exciting news.

We have been offered a significant amount ($5,000) in matching funds to help us pay a portion of the car and the housing expenses.  That means when you donate $100 (or any amount), that will be matched, effectively doubling your donation to $200. 

Here's the catch - we will not receive the full amount unless that much is donated.  

Some of you have already made a donation towards these items.  Those funds will be matched.  For everyone else, won't you consider this as your opportunity to extend your personal ministry by joining with us in meeting the need we have.
