Jody Kennedy International
Is a Picture Really Worth 1,000 Words?
August 16, 2011
We have
literally tens of thousands of photographs from our 20 years of mission
work. Our entry into full-time service (11 years ago) was
accompanied by the advent of digital camera's that were affordable and
easy to use. Now, not only is it easy to take digital still
photographs, it is easy to take video, often with the same camera.
The internet, personal computers and inexpensive (or free) software
make it easy to share our memories on sites such as YouTube and social
networking sites.

One of our
summer missionaries created a great video of her experience in
Nicaragua. Better than 1,000 words, this video summarizes a 10
day mission into a couple of minutes. Watch the video and you
will see what we mean.
COMING
SOON! Huge and wonderful news about the future of Jody Kennedy

Iglesia Bautista Canaan (Canaan Baptist Church) Managua, NI
The final event of the summer had all the elements of a
great finish to our eight consecutive weeks of ministry in
Nicaragua. Everything at the church was well prepared when the
team arrived on July 23. The group from Arkansas arrived on
time and got right to work. The Texas team arrived many hours
late, yet a delayed flight and one lost suitcase could not deter them
from what God had called them to do.
Representing Meadowridge Community Baptist Church (Fort
Worth, TX), FBC Marshall (Marshall, TX) and East Side Baptist Church
(Fort Smith, AR) our team geared up for four daily events of
Practically Speaking English. One event for children, one for
teenagers and two events for adults made for long days, but resulted
in uncountable blessings.
From the teenagers and adults who attended the English
course and those who attended Sunday celebration, more than 30 people
said yes to Christ.

Pray for the Remaining 2011 Events and Our 2012 Schedule
We have three more team events during the fall of 2011.
September 29-October 16 Krasnoyarsk, Russia and Novosibirsk, Russia
December 4-8 OCC Processing Center, Charlotte, NC
2012 will be packed with opportunity as we add new church partners to
our Nicaragua missions.
